We have been high school sweethearts since 2015 when we met at a school in Bhubaneswar, India.

Pooja moved to Manchester in 2020 to join Barun, and we have been living under its grey skies ever since. We have travelled to many places but Florence in the summer of 2026 was special because Barun proposed!

We are getting married where we started, in Bhubaneswar, across three days in February.

We are getting married in Bhubaneswar, over three days in February. The 11th and 12th belong to the family ceremonies — turmeric and henna, music, and a great deal of dancing. The wedding itself is on the afternoon of the 13th, and the reception that evening.

Every invitation carries its own details: which days, where to be, and what to wear. If you have not had yours yet, it is coming.

Bhubaneswar is in Odisha, on India's east coast, and has its own airport — Biju Patnaik International, BBI — with connections through Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

February is the kindest month here: warm days, cool evenings, and no rain to speak of. Bring something light for the afternoons and a layer for after dark.

We will have somewhere for you to stay if you need it. Tell us your dates when you reply and we will be in touch about it closer to the time.
